THE ARMOR OF GOD CHALLENGE
TAKE THE ARMOR OF GOD CHALLENGE
AND FIGHT
THE GOOD FIGHT OF FAITH
RENEWING YOUR MIND DOES NOT HAPPEN BY ACCIDENT
RULES OF THE CHALLENGE:
1. Speak out loud the ARMOR OF GOD Statements every day for 30 days to develop a habit of renewing your mind.
2. After Putting on God’s Armor for the day, text the group, “Today’s Date, ARMOR ON!”. Ex: DEC. 1, ARMOR ON!
3. Remember it does not count unless it is spoken out loud. Faith comes by hearing and hearing of the Word of God. (Rom. 10:17)
4. Make this a daily habit and let the Word of God transform your life!
WHY YOU NEED TO RENEW YOUR MIND DAILY.
There is a battle that is going on daily for control of your mind. This battle deals with your self-image and your identity in Christ. To understand the battle, you must first understand the participants. On one side there is the God the Father, Jesus, & the Holy Spirit. Jesus said, “I am the way and the truth and the life.”, and the Holy Spirit’s full name is the Holy Spirit of Truth. On the other side there is the devil, who Jesus called the father of lies. These two opposing sides utilize the TRUTH in your Spirit and the LIES in your flesh to control your mind, emotions, and actions. If you renew your mind daily with the truth and die to your lie-based, flesh-based, self-image you will experience spiritual growth in your life. If, however, you do not renew your mind with the truth you will not grow spiritually.
The ARMOR OF GOD STATEMENTS are a list of personalized scriptures that tell you the truth of how God sees you once you are born again. By repeating these statements daily, you will begin to see yourself through the eyes of God’s word and understand how God sees you. Jesus tells us that whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me. The ARMOR OF GOD STATEMENTS are a first step to taking up your cross and dying to your lie-based self-image, and putting on your true image that God the Father sees because of our union with Christ by faith.
Paul tells us in Ephesians 6 to put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests.
In Romans 12 Paul tells us, “Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
When you SPEAK THE ARMOR OF GOD STATEMENTS daily you are putting on the armor of God, renewing your mind and achieving victory in your spiritual life. This is the foundation of our spiritual life, and is essential to defeating the enemy and his lies!
I hope you enjoy the challenge!
